DOPE DO’S AND DON’TS

According to the Royal Thai Police, starting from today, the use of cannabis and cannabis-extracted products are allowed as follows:

Own and grow cannabis plants (without limitation):

legal

Distribute cannabis plants:

legal

Smoke cannabis:

legal

Own and distribute cannabis extracts containing more than 0.2% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) without permission or a medical prescription; or import cannabis oil from outside the kingdom: Illegal.

Smoke cannabis in public areas leading to a public disturbance. This counts as a Public Health Act violation subject to a 25,000 baht fine and/or three months of jail time.
