ž➔ MONDAY: The National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) hosts a press conference today on the country’s socio-economic situation in the second quarter of 2022 at the NESDC’s office at 9.30am. NESDC secretary-general Danucha Pitchayanan is to make a statement at the press conference, which will also be featured as a live-stream on NESDC’s Facebook page.

➔ žThe New Economy Academy of the Ministry of Commerce invites Thai entrepreneurs to its “Export Clinic” for a free consultation on trade and export by commercial ambassadors from five regions and over 32 offices, including the Middle East, South Asia, Asean, the China region, Taiwan and the Africa region. The Export Clinic is scheduled to take place from 9am to 4.30pm via Zoom.

➔ žCommerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit and commercial ambassadors are set to review this year’s export figures, in light of the impact of the Russian-Ukraine crisis and a slowdown in terms of the economic conditions of the US-EU trading partners. The event is being held at the Ministry of Commerce. It gets underway at 10am.

There will be interviews with senior executives at the meeting, which is scheduled to take place via WebEx from 10am until noon.

➔ žWEDNESDAY: A seminar on the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) titled “EEC: New Chapter New Economy” takes place today at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.
