PERCEIVING REALITY

PURE PERCEPTION? (HER) / ATTA ’N’ ATTA ART SPACE / UNTIL JUNE 12

Curated by Vipash Purichanont, Kamin Lertchaiprasert’s solo exhibition explores how humans perceive unadulterated reality, a topic he spent decades dissecting. For him, reality is not a physical appearance that’s tangible to our senses and there is also a limitation to encountering reality through emotion. Therefore, he has developed an approach by which we can access reality called “Pure Perception”, opining that we may be able to perceive reality through a stage of mind filled with loving-kindness and existing without expectation. “Pure Perception? (Her)” is the second part of a four-exhibition series that makes up “Pure Perception?” project. It displays 20 of 100 artworks that Kamin made between 2019-2020. The exhibition let the audience into Kamin’s intimate circle through experience and his interaction with colleagues, comrade, community and family members. It also pays homage to Mother Earth. His show is on view at Atta Gallery at Warehouse 30 in Captain Bush Lane (Charoen Krung 30). More info at attagallery.com.
