China no saviour

Re: “China leads the way”, (BP, Nov 26). On Friday you published a PostBag letter with that headline. I wish this were so. Early this year a story said China was rushing to build 18 coal-fired power plants.

They also failed to attend the recent Glascow conference (COP20), along with India, that aimed to work toward limiting climate change.

It seems to me that China “leads the way” in fossil-fuel climate increases.
